Many orchids are not scented; some noses detect an odor where others do not; list of 19 fragrances types and related to a specific orchid; additionally singled out are Encyclia citrina, Laelia autumnalis, Maxillaria picta, Odontoglossum pulchellum, and stanhopeas; bad-smelling ones are mostly bulbophyllums; taken from Orch.
