Cattleya intermedia from the Baixada of Brazil and others are exposed to salt in the air and are practically impossible to kill in the greenhouse; others have not developed their sodium pumps and need lots of pure rainwater in order to live: Telepogon, Houlletia, Disa, many odontoglossums and Coryanthes.
