ORIGIN: Found in Yunnan Province of China on well drained shrubby slopes and thickets at elevations around 1700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with erect, usually borne in fasciles of 2 or 3, greenish, stem-like, cylindric, fleshy, 6 to 8 noded pseudobulbs with a persistent, amplexicaul, lanceolate, membraneous sheath at each node and carrying 2 to 4, subterminal, elliptic-oblong to obovate-oblong, apical margin serrulate, shortly acuminate, articulate, contracted below into a petiolate-like, base stalk leaves that blooms in the later summer on a lateral, arising from a node towards the apex of the pseudobulb, erect, 3.6 to 4.4 [9 to 11 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 3 to 5, greenish-white, lanceolate, membraneous, amplexicaul basally sheaths and a lanceolate floral bract.
