ORIGIN: Found in the eastern Himalayas, Assam India, Nepal, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, southern China and Vietnam in broadleaf, evergreen, lowland forests at elevations of 50 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Dwarf, hot to cool growing epiphyte with an elongated creeping, fleshy rhizome carrying a pseudobulb with 2 to 6 apical, suborbicular, or elliptic, to obovate-elliptic, obtuse, bluish green, very hairy leaves that blooms on a terminal, short, terete, pilose, single flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute bracts with hairy flowers externally occurring in the spring. Mounted on tree fern, cork or hard coconut husk suits this miniature species as well as high humidity, good air circulation and constant year round water.
