ORIGIN: Found only in Oaxaca state of Mexico in oak/pine forests at elevations around 2000 to 2800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with ascending to sub pendent ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 5 lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, fleshy, rigid, elliptic, sometimes very narrow, acute, flat, dark green above, clearer green and often spotted with purple beneath, petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on 1 to 3, only one per bloom season, equal to a bit longer than the leaves, mostly arising on the back of the leaf, peduncle thin,.16 to.28” [4 to 7 mm] long, single tubular-infundibular bracted, rachis slightly flexuous, moderately dense,.8” [ 2 cm] long overall, successively single, 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence with distichous, shortly spaced, very obliquely infundibular, acute-apiculate floral bracts.
