ORIGIN: Found in Oaxaca and Chiapas states of Mexico on mountain tops and ridges at elevations around 1300 to 1750 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Super-mini-miniature sized, cool, pendulous growing epiphyte with erect, thin, terete, 4 noded ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4 lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, hanging, flat to slightly concave, coriaceous-fleshy, elliptic-suborbicular, obtuse, rarely subacute tridentate, cuneate below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer through spring on 1 to 7 per ramicaul, but only one per year, peduncle, to.04 to.16” [1 to 4 mm] long, occasionally as long as 2/3 of the leaf, on the adaxial side,.12 to.52” [3 to 13 mm] long overall, subsecund, successively 1 at a time, 2 to 11 flowered inflorescence with obliquely infundibuliform, cucullate, lepanthiform floral bracts.
