ORIGIN: Found in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Moluccas, Sumatra, Sulawesi, The Philippines, New Guinea and Queensland Australia in lowland grasslands at elevations of sea-level to 500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot growing terrestrial with an oblong tuber carrying an erect, 3 to 4 leafed stem carrying erect, lanceolate-linear, narrowing towards the base, gradually acuminate apically leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, racemose, 9.6 to 12.8 [24 to 32 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with 3 to 6, lanceolate-linear to subulate, setaeceous-acuminate bracts and erect, subulate, setaceous-acuminate, concave, keeled, 1 nerved floral bracts.
