(Richard Mueller x mossiae)
Cross:
Bc. Richard Mueller x C. mossiae
Description: This is a beautiful cattleya cross which was bred by Roy Tokunaga in 2010. Over several years of blooming this plant, I have developed a soft spot for it. Roy gave me permission to register the plant and I was able to do so for Mother's day 2020.
It is named for my mother. The plant is a compact growing, unifoliate cattleya which typically holds between two and five flowers per inflorescence. The flowers are large and decently firm. The color of the flowers starts C. mossiae pink and age toward a light yellow. There are also faint spots throughout the petals from Bc. Richard Mueller.
Culture: This cattleya is actually grown with my bulbophyllum collection. It receives a lot of water, about 70% shade, and very infrequent fertilizing. It blooms at least three times a year.
