Great question. Knowing the species is very important. I looked at the American Orchid Society soft ware Orchid Pro, which is included in membership, and it gives parents. Then I looked at the Royal Horticultural web site and it is the same. And our web site does the same. there used to be books, Sander’s Registry, that were used to look up parents before computers. I use Orchid Wiz which gives it all. Often in color with photos. Maybe others have some suggestions?
