Contains 13% nitrogen; used as a dry feed top dressing; nitrogen released through activity of micro-organisms in about ten days to two weeks in warm weather; apply 1 teaspoon to a six inch pot; odorous; lasts up to eight weeks. A70-889; C72-98;

Expensive; apply every two or three months. OA71-63;

Can burn new growths; has a bad odor. C72-198

It seems to give a response unmatched by other forms of nitrogen; it's best used in the summer when warmth promotes bacterial action; it likely contains a peptide usually present in organic fertilizers, or it has an epidermal growth factor; in hot climates it tends to hasten the breakdown of organic mixes.
