Possibilities are: frames of lath shading (three-quarters inch wood strips one-half to one inch apart) can be placed above the glass in spring, and can be removed in fall; or frames of hardwood cloth with a mesh of 1/4 to 1/2 inch are also good; fiberglass panels provide both shading and protection over glass; if used, be sure to allow clearance for ventilators.
