Migrating the OrchidWiz Journal Between Computers

  1. Connect external storage, ie USB, to the computer that has OrchidWiz Journal, computer 1.  Search this computer for OrchidWiz Journal folder (by default it is in the Document folder) (A).  Right click on the OrchidWiz Journal folder. Click Copy (B).

  1. Right click the external storage and click Paste.
  2. Ensure that OrchidWiz is installed on the other computer.  Connect the external storage from steps 1 and 2 to computer 2. Click on the storage, find the OrchidWiz Journal Folder and right click.  Click copy.
  3. On Computer 2, locate the Documents folder (A) and right click on it.  Click paste (B). The OrchidWiz Journal folder will now be on computer 2.

  1. When you open OrchidWiz on Computer 2, click the “My Plants” button in the My Data section on the start tab.  The All Plants tab will open.

  1. If you don’t see the My Plants button, along the top toolbar, click Tools (A) and then click Options (B).

  1. The Options tab will open. Click the “Change Folder” button (A). The “Browse For Folder” window will open (B). Find the OrchidWiz Journal folder (C) and click on it.  Click ok (D). Then click Save (E) and Close OrchidWiz.

  1. When you reopen OrchidWiz click the “My Plants” button in the My Data section on the start tab.  The All Plants tab will open.
