It determines the new, lush green growth and the formation of seed; it tolerates a pH between 6 and 7.5 only: at pH 6 the growth is leggy, weak, harrow and breaks easily, leaves do not hold up; above a pH 7.5 the plant is progressively starved of it. OA78-51; this is very misleading. OWD
