ORIGIN: Found in Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and the Seychelles in Brachystegia forests at elevations around 650 to 1200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with 1/2 to 1.4 [1.25 cm to 3.5 cm] between each ovoid to elliptic to orbicular, not to hardly flattened, obtusely 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, thick, narrowly oblong to broadly linear-lanceolate, obtuse to acute, slightly emarginate, not oblique, midrib not prominent abaxially, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect to arching, terete, glabrous, .6 to 1.4 [1.5 to 3.2 cm] long, 4 to 11 flowered inflorescence, with 4 to 5 tubular, acute, membraneous, glabrous abaxially bracts and recurved, ovate to triangular, acute to acuminate, membraneous, slightly keeled and glabrous abaxially floral bracts.
