Orchid Species: Collabium evrardii

Collabium evrardii is an orchid species identified by (Gagnep.) Aver. in 1999.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized [out of bloom] terrestrial with a rhizome with 2 [5 cm] between each alternating then 2 to 4 - leaf bearing pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate, acuminate, obtuse basally single nerved, prominent beneath, petiolate base leaf, then a flowering one blooming in the late summer and early spring on an erect, peduncle terete, elongating during anthesis, 4.42 to 5 [11.5 to 12.5 cm] long, rachis terete, elongating during anthesis, to 3.4 [8.5 cm] long, 8 to 10 flowered inflorescence with patent, ovate-lanceolate floral bracts.
