DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cold growing lithophyte on limestone outcroppings and cliffs or terrestrial in damp humus filled crevasses or in rich soils dampened by mists and splash along steep watercourses with fusiform, fleshy pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 6 plicate, thin-textured, elliptic, acute, petiolate leaves which blooms on a erect, to more than 12 [to more than 30 cm] long, with a few [5 to 6] distantly spaced, long-lasting, fragrant flowers occurring in the spring and summer.
