ORIGIN: Found in northern Thailand without locality.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with cane-like, clustered, erect-patent, bilaterally flattened, leafy throughout stems enveloped by persistent leaf sheaths and carrying many, [11 to 19 fresh ones], distichoud, conduplicate, suberect patent, coriaceous, ligulate, unequally bilobed with a short mucro in the sinus, costate abaxially, sheath clasping leaves tthat blooms in the spring on an erect, axillary, emergiong successively over several years on a single stem, 6 to 8.4 [21 cm] long, 4 to 6 basal sheaths entirely enveloping the inflorescence, rachis to 1.76 [4.4 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute-acuminate, membraneous, brownish floral bracts and carrying slightly scented flowers.
