ORIGIN: Found in Nigeria, Burundi, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Rwanda, Zaire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe in grasslands, moors, and in bogs, marshes, swamps and by streams in highland forests at elevations of 600 to 3350 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to just large sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with a slender, glandular pubescent towards the apex, erect, stem carrying 2 to 6, basal, lanceolate, acute leaves and some smaller ones above that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, terminal, 1 to 8 [2.5 to 20 cm] long, pubescent, many flowered inflorescence.
