ORIGIN: Found in Sabah Borneo in lowland and hill forests at elevations around 700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, hot to warm, erect becoming pendent growing epiphyte with simple, erect becoming pendent, clavate, terete basally, becoming laterally compressed above, acute apically, internoded, dull yellow to purple brown to olive brown stems carrying 2, deciduous [often appearing to be one leafed as the 1st leaf drops early], alternate, from nodes at the narrow edge of the upper stem, narrowly elliptic, slightly obliquely acute to acuminate, thin-textured, dark green above often flushed with purple, dark purple to sometimes green beneath leaves that blooms in the winter through summer on a lateral, appearing subterminal, 1 to 3, at a time, from near the stem apex, .8 to 2 [1 to 5 cm] long, gently fractiflex, purple, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with triangular, purple, acute floral bracts.
