ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica and Trinidad in wet broad leafed forests at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, usually wrinkled, ovoid to subglobose pseudobulbs enveloped basally by scarious, evanescent bracts carrying 2 to 3, apical, rigid to flexible, coriaceous, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect to arcuate, peduncle terete, 3.6 to 11.6 [9 to 29 cm] long, racemose to paniculate, branches from .4 to 2.2 [1 to 5.5 cm] long, overall 4.8 to 28.4 [12 to 71 cm] long few to 24 flowered inflorescence.
