ORIGIN: This one was found as a reed stem epiphyte in wet montane forests, often in disturbed sites, so best grown in warm to cool conditions, but it is found in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Leewards, Windwards, Trinidad, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 500 to 1400 meters.
DESCRIPTION: This one was found as a reed stem epiphyte in wet montane forests, often in disturbed sites, so best grown in warm to cool conditions, but it is found in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Leewards, Windwards, Trinidad, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 500 to 1400 meters with an elongate, branching stem carrying narrowly elliptic, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an apical, 1 3/4 [4 cm] long, branched, several flowered inflorescence arising on a mature stem with simultaneously opening flowers.
