ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica in rain forests at elevations around 1450 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Giant sized, cool growing epiphyte with cane-like, branched, terete stems and carrying all along the stem, on the principal stem deciduous, and larger, on the secondary stems, smaller and persistent, narrowly oblong, oblique bilobed, rounded leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a terminal, generally on the branches, occurring only once, racemose, distichous, erect to arcuate, 1.2 to 1.6 [3 to 4 cm] long including the laterally compressed, erect, .28 to .6 [.7 to 1.5 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence without a spathe, and with conduplicate, non-imbricate, narrowly ovate, acute, much longer than the ovary floral bract and carrying resupinate, apple green flowers with a white lip.
