ORIGIN: Found in French Guiana at elevations around 700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, laterally compressed, ancipitous stems carrying 2 to 3, all along the apical 2/3's of the stem, unequal, basally smaller, coriaceous, alternate, elliptic to ovate-elliptic, unequally bilobed apically, dorsal keel, veins evident, margin entire leaves that blooms in the earlier winter on a termina, sessile, racemose, successively single, several flowered inflorescence that reblooms over several years with a much shorter than the ovary, hidden within the foliar sheath, triangular, acute, amplexicaul floral bract and carrying resupinate, flowers with red brown tepals.
