ORIGIN: Found in northern Ecuador along the upper Pacific slope of the Andes at elevations of 1800 to 3200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing, creeping epiphyte with cane-like, arising on the lower nodes of the previous stem, erect, straight, laterally compressed stems carrying 2 to 3, along the apical 1/3 rd of the stem, lanceolate-oblong, obtuse, aristate, concave, margin minutely erose leaves that blooms in the fall through earlier winter on a terminal, arising through 1 to 2, ancipitous, oblong, acute spathes, racemose, peduncle erect, 1/3 to 3/4 enveloped by the spathe, sometimes with a linear-acuminate bract, rachis arching, sinuous, flexuous, 4” [10 cm] long, very lax, simultaneously 9 to 20 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary, triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, white, yellow inside flowers.
