ORIGIN: A hot growing epiphyte found in Jamaica, Colombia, Venezuela and southeastern Brazil on tree trunks, in bright places.
DESCRIPTION: Large sized, warm to cool growing orchid with erect, flexuous, terete, simple, cane-like stems carrying distichous, patent to erect-patent, slightly coriaceous, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, acute to subobtuse, somewhat conduplicate into the articulated base leaf that blooms on a terminal, paniculate, many flowered, 5.2 to 20 [13 to 50 cm] long, thin, terete, erect then pendent inflorescence arising through 1 to 2, scarious, conduplicate, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse to acute spathes.
FLOWER SIZE: 3/4 inch [2 cm]
