ORIGIN: Found in northern Colombia without locational data at elevations around 2500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with thin, cane-like, somewhat thickened towards the middle, laterally compressed, 4 internodes, newly arising from the 2nd internode of the previous stem carrying 1 to 2, apical, coriaceous, fleshy, lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, rounded, unequally bilobed, with a small apicule, margin entire leaves that blooms in the early winter on a terminal, erect, arising through 1 to 2, almost parallel sided spathes, racemose, peduncle laterally compressed, simultaneously 7 to 13 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary, triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers with the sepals and the petals are coffee red brown suffused with green at the base, the lip is coffee brown, the column is white with purple blotches, at the apex, and the callus is white with purple spots.
