ORIGIN: Found in northern Peru in woodlands and grasslands at elevations of 3400 to 3500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cold growing lithophyte with erect, simple, cane-like, terete, thin, straight stems carrying to 13, alternate, sub-erect, all along the stem, narrowly elliptical, coriaceous, green, crenate marginally, spreading, acute, mucronate apically, articulated below into the clasping base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, racemose, arching, dense, terete, thin, 2 [5 cm] long, to 14 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary, triangular floral bracts and carrying simultaneously opening, resupinate, non-fragrant flowers.
