ORIGIN: Found in Pasco Peru at elevations around 3170 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with terete, canelike, erect, straight, branching from the subapical internodes of the stems enveloped basally by tubular, non-foliaceous, scarius sheaths and carrying up to 15, all along the apical half of the stem, alternate, articulate, coriaceous, lanceolate, low dorsal keel, unequally bilobed, margin crenate leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, pluriracemose, a new raceme arising while the original is still in bloom, arching, subsessile, .56 [1.4 cm] long, successively 4 flowered, 2 open at any one time inflorescence subtended by a mbasal, triangular-ovate, acute, amplexicaul, short bract with nearly as long as the ovary, prominent triangular, acuminate, amplexicaul floral bracts and carrying non-fragrant flowers.
