Flickingeria scopa is an orchid species identified by (Lindl.) Brieger in F.R.R.Schlechter in 1981. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dendrobium scopa.
ORIGIN: Found in Borneo, Sulawesi and the Philippines in low stature hill forests at elevations around 500 to 900 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to giant sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with erect becoming semi-pendulous with age, 3 to 4 noded pseudobulbs with the new growth arising from the base of the uppermost internode, and carrying a single, apical, ovate, leathery leaf that blooms on short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the bracts at the junction of the leaf and pseudobulb and carry short-lived flowers.
