DESCRIPTION: Found in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil as a small to medium sized epiphyte occurring at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters. Vera Cruz Mx., 2019m elev, 8 klm north of Coatepec in cofee planting, epiphytic on Liquidambar trees with densely fasciculate-branched, pseudobulbous, narrowly fusiform-cyclyndrical, stipitate stems that carry 2, apical, erect, linear, leaves with a bilobed apex that blooms on an erect or pendant, fasciculate, one to several flowered inflorescence with the flowers held close to the apex of the pseudobulb occurring in the winter and spring.
