ORIGIN: Found in northwestern most Vietnam in primary evergreen, broad-leaves forests at elevations of 2600 to 3000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with a stout, erect, unbranched, woody stem that has densely adpressed, overlapping, distichous leaf sheaths and in the upper third, leafy and carrying distichous, very rigid, subulate, canaliculate, acute, straight to slightly recurved, almost terete towards the apex, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the lat fall and earlier winter on an axillary, racemose, erect, rigid, peduncle 1.2 to .16 [3 to 4 cm] long, carrying 1 to 2, short, broadly triangular, obtuse, sterile bracts, rachis 1.6 to 2 [4 to 5 cm] long, 6 to 12 distantly flowered inflorecsence with small, broadly triangular to broadly ovate, obtuse floral bracts.
