DESCRIPTION: Found from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, the Guyanas and Venezuela as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing, caespitose, unifoliate epiphyte with blue green, white spotted leaves at altitudes of 800 to 1500 meters in wet lower to montane forest that has small ellipsoid, lightly compressed pseudobulbs subtended by a pair of conduplicate leaf sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic or oblong-elliptic, obtuse, attenuate towards the conduplicate base leaves that blooms on an erect, 3 [8cm] long, bracteate, single flowered inflorescence with several flowers that arise in succession on a mature pseudobulb concealed by imbricating, infundibuliform bracts with the flower held above the leaves and occurring in the summer and fall.
