ORIGIN: Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador near Quito, Peru and Bolivia at elevations around 1850 to 2250 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial with ovate or elliptic-ovate, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, acute, narrowing below into a conduplicate, slightly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an axillary, 21 [51 cm] long, apically fractiflex, paniculate, shortly branched, widely spaced, each branch 2 flowered, 2 to 2.4 [5 to 6 cm] between each flower, to 12 flowered, inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb with a few widely spaced, branches and carrying many widely spaced 2 to 2.4 [5 to 6 cm] flowers.
