ORIGIN: Found in peninsular Malaysia in lowland primary forests at elevations of 50 to 100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an unbranched, short, compressed stem enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying 4 to 7, distichous, held in a horizontal fan, decurved apically, oblong to slightly obovate, leathery, green, rounded an unequally bilobed apically, tapering below into the very short, canaliculate, petiolate basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on several, lateral, horizontal to descending, glabrous, stoutly cylindrical and fleshy becoming 2 winged towards the apex, gradually extending to .8 [2 cm] long, fractiflex, 2 rowed, successively single, 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence with persistent, ovate, brown, erose to denticulate margin, minutely apiculate apically floral bracts and carrying short lived flowers.
