ORIGIN: Found in Zulia state of northwestern Venezuela at elevations around 3100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing terrestrial or epiphyte with radiating, white, thick, glabrous roots giving rise to an erect, soft, tough, velvety light green with darker green nerved, sulcate midnerve, dorsally fleshily ribbed, suborbicular, obtuse, narrowing below into the channeled, conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, 14 [35 cm] long, terete, gree, finely white-pubescent, several to many flowered inflorescence arising through a few, rather loose, brown, nervose, basally tubular, glabrous sheaths and carries a few, greenish-brown, basally tubular, glabrous bracts with light green, dorsally pubescent floral bracts.
