ORIGIN: Found in French Guiana, Surinam, Guyana, Northern Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia in rainforests at elevations around 850 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, inconspicuous, reflexed to pendant, cylindrical pseudofbulbs enveloped basally by a few sheaths and carrying a single, apical, pendant, fleshy, lightly flexuous, terete, narrowly and deeply channeled, acute, very long leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, robust, short to 1.6 [4 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered, glabrous inflorescence enveloped basally by a few glabrous, membraneous bracts with ovate, concave, acute coriaceous floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.
