ORIGIN: Found in Antioquia Colombia at elevations around 2700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 8 to 10 distichous, foliaceous sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical, erect, conduplicate, narrowly elliptic to obovate, acuminate, conduplicate below into the subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on 1 to several, axillary, erect, then wiry, long pedunculate, 32 to 60 + [80 to 150 cm +] long overall, paniculate, fractiflex to flexuous, widely spaced side branches to 4 [10 cm] long, 3 to 8 flowered, many flowered inflorescence with adpressed, scale like floral bracts and carrying stellate flowers.
