A killing frost is about 27 deg.F; to protect exposed plants, carry them indoors; in a semi-closed area burn hibachis or wood stoves to keep temperature above freezing; cover area with polyethylene; if electric outlets are available use heaters, or several infra-red bulbs; best is to turn on overhead sprinklers before 32 deg.F. and let run all night and next day until ice is washed away.
