To reduce the exploitation of wild-collected species: trade in nursery-raised plants and indicate such origin; encourage nurseries to propagate with seed; nurseries should resist the temptation to import jungle-collected plants; tour organizers should tell their eager customers not to collect plants in the wild; network of seed-banks should be established and coordinated by Kew; can the concern of the few who care make a difference?
