In Brazil, many small laelias are rupiculous, such as L. cinnabarina, harpophylla, milleri, rupestris, flava, briegeri; they tend, when used in hybridizing, to reduce the size of their off-spring, in some cases to increase the floriferousness, they impart lower temperatute tolerance, and have other points.
