The 7-1-1-1 ratio is used by 16% of U.S. commercial growers: 7 parts fir bark; i part coarse peat moss, 1 part Palco redwood wool, 1 part coarse perlite; the Off alteration on this has a lower pH. A86-493; you can add to 1Ocu. ft. of this mix 3 lbs. bone meal, 2.5 lbs. pulverized limestone, 1/2 lb. tankage fertilizer and 1/2 lb. 5-10-5 fertilizer. See: The O.D.
