ORIGIN: Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Borneo, Moluccas, Sumatra and New Guinea in hill and montane forests often on rocky banks in full sun at elevations of 170 to to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Giant sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with an elongate stem carrying 2-ranked, lanceolate, acute, upper smaller than lower leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal raely branched, 6 [15 cm] long, to 10 flowered, inflorescence with long-oval, avute, very concave floral bracts.1 [2.5] cm between each flower.
