ORIGIN: Found in New Guinea at elevations around 700 to 900 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, warm growing epiphyte with an elongate, flexuous, glabrous rhizome giving rise to simple, generally curved, terete pseudobulbs carrying glabrous, coriaceous, linear to lanceolate-linear, acute leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter on 2 to 5, apical, as long as to shorter than the leaves, white stellate-tomentose hairy, 3 to 8 [7.5 to 20 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence.
