Orchid Species: Oncidium arangoi

Oncidium arangoi is an orchid species identified by (Königer) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams in 2008.
ORIGIN: Found in Colombia at elevations around 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome with closely spaced, ovoid, strongly laterally compressed, rather ancipitous pseudobulbs partially enveloped by several basal, distichous, imbricating, conduplicate, mostly leaf bearing sheaths carrying a single, apical, oblong-lanceolate, thinly leathery, acute, narrowing below into the narrowly conduplicate petiolate baswe leaf that blooms in the later spring on 1 to 2, erect to ascending, slightly arching, strongly laterally compressed, shortly branched, 3 to 6 [7.5 to 15 cm] long, each branch successively single, several flowered inflorescence.
