ORIGIN: Endemic to Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in forests or on in shaded areas on rocks as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte at elevations of 198 to 2000 meters in shade, semishade and full sun.

DESCRIPTION: Endemic to Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in forests or on in shaded areas on rocks as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte at elevations of 198 to 2000 meters in shade, semishade and full sun, with well spaced, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms on a 2 to 3 long, arching, slightly zigzag, laxly flowered inflorescence that arises from the rhizome before the new growth appears holding several to many sequentially opening flowers starting with the lowest flowers occurring in the spring. This species seems to do best mounted on cork or tree fern to accomodate the creeping growth habit and should only be attempted as new root growth occurs.
