ORIGIN: Found in Peru and southern Brazil, Atlantic Forest, Serra do Mar Mountains, from São Paulo and Parana States with oblong, compressed, pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4 leaf-like bracts and a single, apical, strap-shaped leaf that blooms on an axillary, arcuate-pendant, 8 [20 cm] long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence occurring in the fall and early winter.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Peru and southern Brazil, Atlantic Forest, Serra do Mar Mountains, from São Paulo and Parana States with oblong, compressed, pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4 leaf-like bracts and a single, apical, strap-shaped leaf that blooms on an axillary, arcuate-pendant, 8 [20 cm] long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence occurring in the fall and early winter.
