ORIGIN: A smaller sized, hot to cool growing, mat forming epiphytic species found on cacti, trees and rocks in sunny locations within humid, seasonally dry forests from Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador at elevations from sea-level to 1600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: New growth arises, that is shorter than the leaves and has flowers that do not open very well.
