DESCRIPTION: Found from Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Surianm, Guyana, Fr. Guiana, Northern Brazil and Ecuador in tropical moist forests as a medium sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte that occurs at elevations of sea-level to 1500 meters with erect or ascending stems carrying lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, plicate, acuminate to acute, fleshy, basally clasping leaves all held sparsely towards the apex and blooms in the spring and summer on a terminal, long, single flowered inflorescence arising on a mature stem and longer than the leaves and has fragrant, short-lived flowers.
