ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Trinidad & Tobago, French Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia and Peru at elevations of sea level to 1400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Trinidad & Tobago, French Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia and Peru at elevations of sea level to 1400 meters with very small pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricating, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, oblong-ellptic to elliptic-lanceolate, rigid, coriaceous, acute to obtuse leaf where it blooms in the spring through fall on a panicle with short branches and scarious sheaths that can attain 8 feet [240 cm] and is a large sized, cool to hot growing, mule eared epiphyte.
