ORIGIN: Found in Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan provinces of China, Hong Kong, the eastern Himalayas, Assam, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Penninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Sulawesi, Sumatra and the Philippines in broadleaf, evergreen, semi-deciduous and deciduous, dry, lowland forests and savana-like woodlands at elevations of 300 to 1300 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with erect, elliptic [in crosscut], rooting along the length stem carrying thick, fleshy, elliptic, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a to 14 [.4 meter] long, pendant, strongly flattened towards the apex inflorescence with 2 ranked rows of persistent floral bracts from which arise nicely fragrant flowers that last 2 to 3 days.
